Yoga

I started practicing yoga 10 years ago when I was in college.  I got a good friend to go to an intramural class with me and I have loved it ever since.  I go through phases where I am more interested and committed to actually getting my mat out and doing it than at other times.  About a year ago I certified to be a group fitness instructor and realized that I really liked teaching fitness and especially wanted to pursue yoga instructing.  My mentor said the best instructors were the ones who practiced yoga and didn't just teach yoga.  I felt a bit like a slacker because, well, I wasn't really great at consistency.  Enter subbing yoga classes.  It made me pull out the mat and every time I do I remember how much I love yoga!

I think it would be so cool to have a yoga studio at my house someday!  I even considered making my basement into a dance/yoga studio now but asked myself what would I do with my 3 kids while I taught classes?  Then I started thinking about teaching kid yoga classes.  Wouldn't that be so cute? Ahhhhh, I like day-dreaming :)
